Cat Fever

Cat Fever

Snow fell, dulcet and fluffy, and stacked outside the wooden windowsill outside of Bernadetta’s room. Alone and lit only by candles, more than usual, she found herself hating the world outside. Supposedly, this academy rarely actually got any snow but here it was, snowing. Classes weren’t cancelled for obvious reasons. Most students didn’t mind just putting some boots on and trudging over to their classes but Bernie wasn’t most students. She was quiet in her room, isolated and happy. The second she left all that security she was seeping in would vanish.

Bimbocobo Ranch

There is a rumor going around about a special ranch where the happiest Chocobo come from. Nestled betwixt the Rurror Hillsides and right before Malov’s Crescent lies a hamlet not too far from the forests that the more elusive Chocobo adore and with plenty of fields for them to frolick and chase and grow big and strong.

UNSTABLE TECH

This fucking guy was huffing fumes like a god damn truck. A real honest to god mouth breather, he was leaning over the bar perched like a chromed out hyena. Not quite a metalhead, but the guy was chromed to the nines and had more in common with the rear end of a big rig than your typical person. Lucy could barely tear her eyes away from him, not sure what to make of him. He seemed shaky, ready to crack any moment and become another cyberpsycho splattered all over the evening news and he was hinging it all on if he could get the bartender’s attention soon enough to medicate his condition with pretty neon bottles decorating the wall.

Halloween Vibes

Halloween Vibes

A blistering spark of flames leapt from its containment to a book. Brought to life and suddenly aware of what it was capable of, the winged toad instantaneously burst into a furious green flame and emerged with the zest of a being well aware of the short wick of its existence. She had been looking away when the confluence betwixt the summon’s world and our own emerged. By the time Beth had lifted her head out of her other book the toad had already accomplished its first leap and set fire to the curtains. “H-hey!” Beth shot straight up to her feet and raised her hands in defiance. Her ability to defy went further than others, past physical grasp as her gestures grew beyond whims and became magical hands that hurriedly squeezed the leaping meteor toad before it spread the flames to the god damn laundry basket.

I could have stopped her. More than anyone else, I knew what was going through her head and how the research had progressed. When my phone vibrated that night and woke me up with a start it was only the long-awaited punctuation to this strained and arduous story. No; By then it was far too late. And deep down it was exactly where I thought this would all end up.

A Twisted Tale from The Dark Skies

From town to town, village to village, people made their living. In the tattered ruins of the broken world, little settlements eek out a living worthwhile. They farm and delegate, build and aspire, and all this builds to the gathering of coin and currency to enter the world of trade. And what was most enjoyable, delectable, and fascinating about these hardy people? How easy they were to rob blind.

Dungeons and Goo-Dragons

The temple door was desecrated in a layer of a thick drooling substance. The strange fluid wasn’t too runny, thick mucus like slimes only ran with the mind to expand and retain rather than some mindless existence. Mandy really, really didn’t think this was a good idea. The job was supposed to be easy. It had a low difficult wager according to the contract handler, it came from a trusted group as well. The datyr people were rarely in need of mercenary help themselves, but they were often the mouth for the jobs needed by the various peoples who traveled through their cities and outposts or came seeking the faith of the fertility nature goddess Dewdona. Any race protected by the one of The Dragon Princesses was pretty trust worthy and not likely to send a spoof job to trick well geared adventurers into getting jumped and dropping their trinkets of various origins and values for quick payout.
