            Sabrith awoke from her dream with a sharp gasp. For a moment she didn’t remember where it was that she was sleeping and was surprised by the sights. She was laid out on the stone floor of a deep dark keep. The floor was a gray stone, surprisingly even and carved. The wall was blunt and covered in dark black iron chains and a single solitary rectangle window, barred by iron, and so small a slice of bread could narrowly fit even without the bars.

The Cat Café

                The plate with the little cake was placed atop the covered table. Tayelle looked down at it with a big excited grin. “Oh wow! Look at how adorable it is!” She gestured to it happily. It was a tiny cake, spongy wet and soft. Pink frosting laid atop it all sparkling and cute, painted perfectly into a little cate face.

            “You have my word,” Sabrith spoke with her voice firm and high. “We will defend you, all of you! Until my very last breathe.” The cat girl gave a firm smile caught between her warrior’s determination and her savior’s grin. She looked back the scarred girl in the robes until she let back a little nod. With her approval, Sabrith rushed back onto the streets of Parren Hold, the cobblestone beneath her armored feet turning into a blur as she sprinted out.

A Battle In Shadow

            Ice cream was good. It was a universal law of the world. Much like gravity affects everyone, so was it the same with the creamy frozen treat that came in such a wide variety of flavors. Tayelle made no attempt to get the best of this law of the world as she dug her spoon into a candy coated mound of pink creamy goodness laid soft and fluffy inside the paper dish she held in one hand. Her face was bright like her face was still up against the glass picking a flavor out. The sugary pink haired cutie munched away while stepping in time with her mate.
