– Gwen awoke without any of her memories. –
What only made things more difficult is that she is the only android on the island she woke up on. Adopted by a local bartender, she spent a while living in a tavern assisting the owner in various jobs and learning about the world.
– The World –
Long ago they were massive continents with huge swaths of nations and wonders. Then, a dark force known as Demons arose from the earth beneath. They sought to consume all using their advanced form of magic known as Techs. However, the above world was able to defeat The Demons, but not before the world was crumbled. Continents were destroyed, oceans drained, and civilizations devastated. But the world survived.
Surrounding a massive containment spell known as The Seal is a series of shattered kingdoms and islands. Connected via bridges and spells, the people of this world live on in uneven jigsaw pieces of world. Islands are dotted with ruins, fallen nations, and remnants from The Demon Sieges during this era of war. Inside The Seal is The Demon Nirvana, forever sealed away inside the grandest containment spell, removed from all time and space, their darkness still ongoing but entirely unable to escape.
Nowadays some people traverse to Demon Nirvana in order to steal away the resources of the separated world. Those outside the spell can travel in and out freely, and literally no time has passed once they return. Other people prefer to salvage relics from the fallen and unreformed kingdoms or by discovering abandoned demon technology.
– Gwen –
The android girl lived with her caretaker, doing her best to repay her for the kindness. At first Gwen was quite a stoic bot. She rarely showed even a shimmer of emotion and tended to only focus on tasks. However, she slowly began to warm and care more for people and show more complex wants and needs and even emotions.
An interesting quirk she picked up is saying a few vulgar statements. This comes from her being exposed to drunken people from all around the world stopping by the bar and bringing with them their sayings. “Fuck me sideways,” or “Crime is illegal,” or even “I’ll shove a sword so far up your ass you could stab with your mouth open” have all entered her vernacular with extreme precision.
Eventually Gwen has no choice but to travel out. The tavern owner gets sick and needs more money. So off she goes to explore The Shattered Isles and to make money. She really just wants to get paid. She will also discover relic pieces that are compatible with her rig, enhancing her combat and various abilities even more.
– But what is her past?… –
Simply, Gwen is a Demon Tech Android, abandoned in this world. But she is no ordinary entry into the Demon’s war machine efforts. She was to be one of their greatest accomplishments.
An elite unit of Demon Tech, Gwen was created to destroy, consume, or convert humanity whenever possible. Her tech was highly advanced capable of converting souls and mana into pure dark energy and capable of using it in a wide variety of systems. She was compatible with older lines of machines, meaning she could salvage upgrades off of defeated units. Of course these units risk adapting new unexpected personality traits or viral infections from older or infected relics, but it is often worth the risk.
Due to some unknown tragedy, Gwen has been severed from her original upgrades and in the process lost all of her memories, including her obedience to Demons or even her original mission. However, she is still equipped with her part finder. And as she puts herself back together, she will discover more and more about who she really was, rather she likes it or not…
– Demon Tech –
There are three classes of demon tech in quality and two kinds. The kinds are simple, they are either equipment or parts only usable via Androids. The classes are as follows:
Veteris – Flimsy and difficult to use parts, often large and blunt and made from stone and archaic metals. When Gwen equips a Veteris part it is instantly transformed to a higher quality but many quirks remain from the older part. Veteris were used to create stone golems, flying swords, etc.
Novus – Versatile and form factor. Novus parts are able to melt down into a dark latex like goo which can rapidly reform into its desired shape or even take on other forms programmed into it. Gwen is entirely constructed of Novus grade material.
Hybrid – Novus or Veteris technology merged into a foreign invention or bio organic material. Be it an animal that consumed and merged with a Novus module and become corrupted by it or forcefully connected to Veteris or even the human creation of Sanctus Tech, a sort of holy counter version of Demon Tech. Hybrid is the only tech type Gwen cannot interface with.
Sanctus – Humanity was able to appropriate the inventions of Demons in order to fight back. Sanctus tech varies from Veteris grade materials converted into holy swords and cannons or even rarely Novus grade devices turned into extremely powerful creations. Humanity’s unique tech, Crystals, allows for then to push Novus into unique directions.
– Upgrade Ideas –
Centaur Model – Gwen can form a lower chassis of a centaur.
Horse Dick – Can summon a fat robotic horsedick with varying appearances based on model. May also corrupted Gwen, a virus causing her to be more horny.
